Women's Ministry

A ministry by women, for women, to facilitate, nurture, equip, and support them as disciples of Jesus Christ.

An Integral Body in the Church

Africa Gospel Church recognizes women as an integral part of the body of Christ. Our main focus is to help women be involved in all areas of the church life and its mission. The department is committed to equipping and supporting women to do their part in carrying out the Gospel message to other women, their families, the community, and the world at large.

Mentoring the Next Generation

DOVE is a girls’ mentorship program envisioned to reach adolescent girls, mentoring them to be dignified, overcomers, visionary, and empowered so they can face life's challenges and grow holistically as God-fearing ladies. We conduct hygiene training, life skills training, and provide spiritual guidance, including reusable sanitary kits to help sustain them in school.

Our Vision

God-fearing, educated, responsible, visionary girls empowered to explore their full potential.

Our Mission

To provide a holistic, transformational program aimed at reducing negative societal influence and equipping girls to achieve academic excellence and spiritual growth.

Background & Partnership

The DOVE initiative began when we saw the need to address rising teenage pregnancies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mrs. Deborah Mutai, acting as the Director of Compassion, spearheaded the initiative, forming a committee to brainstorm how the church could advocate against this issue.

A key challenge identified was the lack of access to sanitary towels. By God's grace, we partnered with the LEAST OF THESE organization under WGM, who donated reusable sanitary kits. We specifically thank BE THE LIGHT MINISTRY, through Stacy Eubanks, for providing ready-made kits, training materials, and instructions for local production. Her generosity and love for adolescent girls has been invaluable.

Impact & The Future

In October 2020, we ministered to around 70 girls in Angata Bargoi and Magadi, teaching them about hygiene and life skills. Our aim is to maintain contact and follow up to ensure none drop out of school.

The program is still in its initial stages, and we trust God to see many more girls empowered by God-fearing mentors who will walk faithfully with them through their adolescent journey.
