From Humble Roots to a Flourishing Church
The story of Africa Gospel Church (AGC) is one of God's faithfulness. It began with the pioneering work of missionaries from World Gospel Mission in 1905. Officially registered as an autonomous entity on August 29th, 1961, the church has grown into a vibrant family of nearly 2000 congregations across Kenya.
Our journey has been marked by remarkable growth in both rural and urban areas, fueling our passion to send our own missionaries to unreached tribes and nations. Today, the AGC mission extends into Uganda, Tanzania, and Burundi, a testament to a vision that continues to unfold.

Our Reach & Impact
From vibrant children’s ministries like Vacation Bible School that shape our identity, to our extensive missionary work, AGC is a mission-oriented denomination. Our reach extends from the Maasai land on the Tanzanian border to the Turkana and Pokot peoples in the north-west, and even into eastern Uganda.
We have established over 20 mission fields, reaching diverse communities including Muslims in Garissa and Lamu, the Samburu, Rendille, Duruma, Sabaot, and the Maasai of Kajiado. With over 43 urban churches, including 7 in Nairobi, we continue to grow, trusting in God’s grace.
