He is married to Elisabeth and they have four children. He had served as a pastor in Leshuta Local church, as well as the district leader in the Leshuta region for two years before moving on to Sekenani. John is a graduate of Narok Bible College with his Batchelor of Theology degree. Their children are; Paul Lekishon Kisotu, Joy Namunyak Kisotu, Jacob Oloishorua Kisotu, Lydia Siteiyian Kisotu. Elizabeth is a teacher at a local school and helping in Sekenani AGC.
